Super Bamboo!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better . . .

Bamboo strives fiercely to protect our environment by restoring our land.

With its higher production of oxygen and carbon-absorbing properties, bamboo cleans the air that every living creature needs.

By using bamboo instead of trees, we allow forests to thrive and maintain healthy ecosystems for wildlife and flora.

By using bamboo instead of plastics, we diminish the need for landfills and encourage healthier manufacturing processes that use less petroleum and fewer harsh chemicals.

World's Fastest Land Plant

Grows up to three feet a day!

(The only plant that grows faster is Giant Sea Kelp.)

While hardwood trees take more than a hundred years to grow to maturity and pine tree farms a minimum of 25 years, bamboo is harvestable as early as 7 years from its initial planting, and from then on, two-thirds of every acre can be harvested annually.

This productivity is the definition of sustainability! We only need a fraction of the land for bamboo farms (compared to tree farms) to create a sufficient supply for our goods.

And bamboo is both drought resistant and fire resistant (not fireproof), diminishing the concerns that come from dry seasons.

Earth's Best Friend

What happens when our soil is happy and healthy?

The same as for us! It produces better fruit!

Bamboo is also capable of phytoremediationa process that removes harmful impurities from the soil.

While less relevant to farms, growing bamboo on land that has been polluted holds great promise for future use. (Not going to lie . . . extracting the root system is a hard job, but it's doable and presents an opportunity for reclaiming land for generations to come.

Bamboo can be used to make biochar.

And when biochar is added to soil as an amendment, it helps restore nutrients long lost by practices of overfertilization and rotation of crops.
